Okay, so I am currently trying to figure something out: what are the odds me getting one of my 1cmc cards in a 60 card deck?
I have 8 total, and am currently trying to workit out.
Your deck has 8 1cmc cards and 52 other cards.
Let's call the first 8 cards good cards and the rest bad cards.
Remember, always, if the probability that any given scenario will occur is x, then the probability of that scenario NOT occurring is 1-x.
Therefore, if the probability of drawing all bad cards in your opening hand is x, then the probability of drawing at least one good card in your opening hand is 1-x.
The sum of both probabilities will always be 1 100%.

Your maths is slightly wrong here, since you didn't replace cards in your deck after you draw in your calculations.
After each draw, the number of cards left in your deck should be reduced by 1.
So either you're a Zen master or an idiot, I'll assume the Zen master for sake of argument.
This card will have no paradoxes because it has a clear paradox.

Yes, but with hypergeometric distribution it's somewhat easier to answer specific questions like "What are the odds of me drawing exactly two of my 1 CMC cards in my opening 7?
I think I've been doing this wrong for a while now, then.
